Wenzao Ursuline University of Language (formerly known as Wenzao Ursuline College of Language) is famous for talent fostering of foreign languages. In more than forty years, Wenzao has paid effort on high quality education and trained near ten thousands of language talents with professional knowledge, humanism quality, and sound personality. We make our education refining, professionalizing, and diversified, and train our students with multi-lingual abilities to broaden their international horizons.
 
Nowadays EU plays an important role politically and economically. Taiwan is facing global competition; but yet, we have been always accustomed to American economy and culture more than European culture. Therefore, how to associate with multi-culture organizations and get involved into world economic system with international perspective are the difficulties that our society is confronting.
 
The most important thing first is raising the talents of foreign languages. Whoever being proficient in foreign languages can be blend into the world’s culture and economy more easily and quickly. Wenzao was founded as a pioneering effort in language education and talent cultivation in 1966. With Chinese language and culture as the foundation, the University seeks through foreign language education to provide an understanding of multi-culturalism and an international perspective. In more than forty years, Wenzao has trained many talents of foreign language, and has accumulated abundant teaching and researching productions.
 
Based on the facts and social background mentioned above, European Union Center of Wenzao was funded by Ministry of Education and established in 2004, with the aim of integrating our rich teaching resources in English, French, German and Spanish language education accumulated over the decades. It aims to form personnel proficient in European languages and professional expertise, while opening a window onto Europe for the general public.
