歐盟和台灣在自由、民主、人權和法治有著共同的價值觀。在此共有價值觀上，雙方的交流亦隨著時間穩定的成長。不僅政治與經濟方面，歐盟在文化上也於全球舞台中扮演重要角色，而台灣不僅是亞洲地區興盛的力量，同時也是擁有豐富多元文化的創新中心。

　　文藻歐盟園區的宗旨是增進台灣與歐盟彼此間的了解，並提供交流及對話平台。為推廣理念，透過舉辦講座，工作坊，圓桌會議，來討論歐盟及其成員國的發展。通過關注文化、語言、政治、歷史和經貿等領域來強調跨學科交流。

　　歐盟園區為促進台灣與歐洲間相互認識與學習的機會，藉由進行國際性交流活動，來增進國際關係及發展以歐洲為中心的關係網絡。因此，歐盟園區提供教育機構，私人機關，政府和非政府組織一個讓教師、職員和學生著重於歐洲文化體驗及增進國際交流的平台。歐盟園區旨在開發及結合校外單位的豐沛資源挹注，來舉辦能使在地學生，教師、職員以及社會大眾受益之歐洲相關活動，拓展與會人員對於歐洲文化的認識與理解，並擁有跨文化溝通的能力，培育其具備國際觀。

The EU and Taiwan share common values such as freedom, democracy, human rights, and the rule of law. Upon these shared values, exchanges between the two sides have grown steadily over time. The European Union plays an important role on the global stage, not only politically and economically but also culturally, and Taiwan is a thriving power in the region and an innovation hub that possesses a rich and diverse culture. 

The mission of the Wenzao EU Center is to promote mutual understanding and provide a platform for dialogue. To promote this ideas, the EU Center organizes lectures, workshops, round table talks to discuss the developments in the European Union and its member states. The EU Center emphasizes interdisciplinary exchange by focusing on a broad range of areas, including culture, language, politics, history, and business affairs.

The EU Center supports the development of relationships with a focus on Europe by organizing events and activities aimed at enhancing international relationships in order to promote mutual understanding and learning. Therefore, the EU Center reaches out to educational institutions, the private sector, governmental and non-governmental institutions to provide a platform for faculty, staff, and students to increase their European-focused international experiences. The EU Center aims to develop external resources to support European-focused activities that benefit local students, faculty but also the general public.
