Art. B. Chmielewski

Michał Heller

The receiver of the 2008 Templeton Prize for his works in the field of philosophy. Professor of philosophy at the Pontifical University in Kraków, an adjunct member of the Vatican Observatory, and Ph.D. of cosmology. Member of the Vatican Observatory.

Guy Consolmagno SJ

An American research astronomer, physicist, Jesuit religious brother, Director of the Vatican Observatory. He obtained his S.B. (1974) and S.M. (1975) degrees at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his Ph.D. (1978) at the University of Arizona’s Lunar and Planetary Laboratory, all in planetary science. After postdoctoral research and teaching from 1978 to 1980 at Harvard College Observatory and from 1980 to 1983 at MIT, in 1983 he joined the US Peace Corps to serve in Kenya for two years, teaching astronomy and physics.

Kate Raworth

Economist working for Oxford and Cambridge universities. In 2017, Raworth published Doughnut Economics: Seven Ways to Think Like a 21st-Century Economist which elaborates on her concept of Doughnut Economics, first developed in her 2012 paper, A Safe and Just Space for Humanity. Her 2017 book is a robust counter-proposal to mainstream economic thinking in which she advocates for conditions to create a sustainable economy. Raworth argues for a radical re-consideration of the foundations of the Science of Economics and is particularly critical of the outdated principle of unlimited growth – in that it is both destructive to planetary resources, not adjusted to human needs, and deteriorating our quality of life.

Jeffrey Sachs

An economist, academic, public policy analyst, former director of The Earth Institute, and director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University. President of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network.

Mike Walsh

Futurist, a leading authority on disruptive innovation, digital transformation and new ways of thinking. Author of the bestselling book “The Algorithmic Leader”. Rather than focusing on the distant future, Mike takes an anthropological approach – scanning the near horizon for emerging technologies and disruptive shifts in human behavior, and then translating these into pragmatic plans for digital transformation.
